About the Event

  • Welcome to the SPRING Dining with Downtown Online Auction! That's right, the 2020 event was such a success, in 2021 we'll be hosting TWO, in April (Spring) and September (Fall). We hope you'll join us for both because this isn't just an online auction... it's a full-on event in Downtown Hays that features all the things we love, our businesses, the people that own them, food, drinks, and FUN!

  • This event is called Dining with Downtown because DHDC wanted to create an event that encouraged socially connecting while physically distancing. By purchasing 1 of the featured "Dining With" items, you will enjoy a one-of-a-kind 4-course meal, drinks, and signature auction items to bid on, the evening of April 30 at 6:00p.

  • You'll notice there are other items available as well. Thank you to our generous donors.

  • All proceeds from Dining with Downtown directly benefit Downtown Hays Development Corporation (DHDC), a 501c3.

  • This event could not happen without the tremendous support from our incredible Downtown Businesses, the Hays community, the DHDC Board of Directors, and all of you who support Downtown Hays. We can't say THANK YOU loudly enough!

Your Menu for the Evening

  • Appetizers: Cheeseboard presented by Paisley Pear Wine Bar, Bistro, and Market

  • Salad: Mixed Greens with Green Goddess Dressing presented by Gella's Diner

  • Bread: Parmesan Croissant presented by Cathy's Breads

  • Entree: Your choice of 6oz Filet with Demi Merlot sauce or Chicken Kiev. Each entree will come with roasted root vegetables and rosemary potatoes presented by The Press Craft Kitchen and Cocktails 

  • Dessert: Lemon raspberry mini bundt cake finished with fresh raspberries, whipped cream, and lemon drizzle presented by Augustine's Bakery.

  • March 29: Bidding for Experiences Opens at 8:00a

  • ​April 11: Bidding for Experiences Closes at 8:00p

  • April 19: DHDC will contact winners to discuss the final details of the night and to customize your experience for your individual group. For example red wine, white wine, or both!

  • April 30: The event begins at your chosen venue!
